The Foo Birds are an independent UK-based five-piece whose unique musical partnership has been evolving for over a decade. Their music dynamically blends elements of nu-soul, RnB, jazz and pop and is characterised by the powerful voice of Kate Lister, with lyrics exploring the joys and vulnerabilities of being human in an ever-changing world.

Their latest release, Everybody’s Shouting, was produced by Chris Hyson (Jordan Rakei, Frida Touray) and mixed by Alex Killpartrick (Olivia Dean). The EP offers a timely reflection on the chaos of modern life, and the solace we find in connection and creativity. It’s uplifting and soulful - a thoughtful antidote to overwhelming times.

Their high-energy performances and tight, in-the-pocket grooves have garnered an international following, with successful tours across the UK and Europe. Previous shows include Pizza Express Jazz Club (London), Band on the Wall (Manchester), Peggy’s Skylight (Nottingham) and The Jazz Bar (Edinburgh). Festival appearances include headline slots at Kelburn Garden Party, Fife Jazz Festival & Tinderbox Fest and they have been celebrated on Jazz FM, Worldwide FM & BBC Radio. Previous releases feature collaborations with Robin Mullarkey (Jacob Collier, Natalie Williams), Harry Fausing Smith (Tom Misch, MRCY), Jonny Murray (Mr Jukes) & Robin Wynn Evans (Sam Brown, Manic Street Preachers).
